As a Rhode Island School of Design student, I coordinated a quilt-making activity during the Brown University Gaza Solidarity Encampment on Brown University's Main Green in April 2024. At the height of the protests, I distributed squares of repurposed fabric at a student-organized art-making station. Painted by student protestors, the squares feature messages of care and solidarity in six languages, which I later sewed together into a single quilt. 

Solidarity Forever (2025) is an important physical archive, speaking to the legacy of student protests at Brown and to the ongoing human rights violations in Gaza. As an artist and activist, I am in full support of all people – no matter their ethnic, religious, or national heritage – to live in peace and sovereignty in Palestine and beyond.

The quilt documents a distinct moment in Brown’s history of student activism, preserving the collective voices and creative practices during the encampment.
