Washing Rice (2018) uses markers, pen, and ink to capture stillness in motion. Many asian americans connect to our cultures through food. The practice of washing rice takes only a few moments, and it is a gesture that is learned and taught through generations.

Washing Rice was published in the Open Rivers Journal. It has also been exhibited at Hennepin Gallery (Minneapolis, MN) and Park Square Theatre (St. Paul, MN).

A photograph of the black and white nostalgic series, Arriving In Between. There are 6 pieces of artwork capturing moments of my life. Washing Rice is one of them.
